Pittsburgh Road Has Reopened, After Hours-Long Early Morning Standoff


An hours-long standoff early Monday morning, has led to one person being arrested.


The standoff happened at a home in the Oakland section of Pittsburgh at about 1:30 Monday morning.


According to Police agencies on the scene, the man barricaded himself in a home on the 300 Block of Atwood Street.


Both Pittsburgh Police and University of Pittsburgh Police departments, say that that Atwood Street and surrounding roads were shut down during this incident.


The man surrendered to police at approximately 8 AM, and the road and the other surrounding roads were reopened to traffic at 9 AM.
