Clearfield Man Found Guilty by Jury for the Drug-Related Death of Woman

A Clearfield man has been found guilty of the drug-related death of a woman.

The jury took two hours to convict Trevor Bloom, of West Decatur for delivering the drugs, that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Lindsey LaBorde, and was acquitted of involuntary manslaughter.

Approximately 2 years ago, LaBorde was found unresponsive at her Clearfield residence and was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

According to police, Bloom said that LaBorde tried heroin for the first time that day.

Police also say the drug residue that was found at the residence, tested positive for fentanyl.

Bloom said in an interview with investigators that he is the only one responsible for LaBorde's death.

Bloom's sentencing will occur in 90 days, in which he could receive the maximum sentence of five-and-a-half years to up to 40 years in state prison.
